I believe they've said they will be allowing SEA players to choose between playing on SEA or US servers (and to switch between them) "within 60 days of launch."

That's far too long to wait; I have friends getting impatient now (not to mention myself) and waiting another two months is ridiculous. It worked in the beta, so there's obviously no technical reason that it shouldn't work now!

Would buying the US version from blizzard still work ok here, It works out better on the exchange rate...

EDIT: The Difference I can see is the language, Southeast Asia & ANZ has English (SG) and US has English (US)

What is English (SG)?

It's regionalised. And I think you'll play with different region's Battle.net servers. US obviously will only connect with US Battle.net servers. SEA/ANZ will connect to Australia Battle.net servers.

It actually gives this warning when you select the North American version:

"Game Region Warning

Retail copies sold in New Zealand (your account country) will connect to the Southeast Asia & ANZ game region."

Anyone have any spare guest passes for starcraft 2, please. i dont want to part with 100 or so dollars if it runs like poo on my machine.

What's your system's specs? List it out and I'm sure most others will be able to comment.

Having said, I do fine "medium" settings run well and satisfying good with the graphics too... obviously if you have it up Ultra, it'll look super stunning - but I'm mostly in for the gameplay, so you'd tuned it down to an acceptable settings anyhow.

SEA/ANZ servers are located in Singapore.

US servers same place as the Warcraft servers I believe.

I downloaded the US Client and bought a US Key for $83 NZD and connect to the US servers.

this is a slap in the face!
