That movie is about dumbing down the gameplay with autosteer and having no level of difficulty not to show flaws in the kinect hardware. It's like how Super Mario didn't have 15 minutes of tutorials showing you how to jump etc like games do these days.

which is exactly what im saying,  b0untypure1: said  ill sum up my thoughts on kinect, with a movie. , so he was basing his opinion of the hardware on a game and the issues the game has, not on the hardware itself

I mean you can see the potential in UBISOFT Your shape Fitness evolved

It's an improvement from eyetoy, that's for sure!
I had a bit of trouble figuring out movement timing and such.
I don't like the avatars though.

I would like to say the few real store displays I have seen of this have all worked really well. It looks like it could and most likely will be a big thing again for the casual gamer.

To Steve98's comment on how's the bluray playback it apparently plays MKV files just fine (through the media centre). High Def playback capability is possible through the Xbox but if you wanna live in the past and still buy physical media like dvd's and Blurays you go for it buddy.

For me I'd rather buy digital content as most content providers once you have paid for the download you can redownload it again if there's a need. Just wondering when was the last time you backed up one of your precious Bluray movies??? Have you ever had to replace a disk (dvd or bluray or game).

This of course is nothing to do with the post. I always said that the Wii was a gimmick and that people would get sick of it eventually global sales of the Wii prove me wrong there. Add to this the number of Kinect units sold to date and yet again using motion sensors to play games of all genre's are proving me wrong.

With 5 kids I may even see myself getting a Kinect one day but that would need to coincide with some more serious game releases like some FPS titles that rate and play well using this technology.

I think the bluray argument was there in the first few years, but nowadays its not really an argument, cheaper alternatives in standalone units, and better quality from similar priced units. Additionally, no IR sensor on the PS3, I mean come on, it's not like it is pricey or large!
