Nice one. Was there still a queue today?

Apparently (at Glenfield, anyway) there was no queue today - but not a lot of stuff left, either.

Was at St Lukes early this afternoon and there was a queue there.  Didnt bother going close enough to see if there was any stock though.

I went to hornby today, a very short queue for about 5 minutes to get in. Pretty slim pickings once in though, mostly merchandise left with a lot of microphones, headsets and PC peripherals down the back. I got a few random bits and pieces like the kids some cheap pink desk pads and a switch 2 charger but games themselves were pretty much cleared out despite saying online they had stock.

We visited 3 EB Games on Friday and Saturday and did quite well. Turned out some of them had spare copies of Switch 2 games in the drawer with the intent of replacing the ones on shelves when customers grabbed them, but they got so overwhelmed they didn't have time. Also managed to get some magic cards / commander decks, and bit of clothing we wouldn't have bought at full price but at 1/2 price was attractive.

The staff were all pleasant to deal with despite the obvious pressure and stress. We wished them all good luck

I visited both Henderson and New Lynn yesterday, the former still had some stuff left but not much (mostly clothing), the latter was the emptiest EB Games I've ever seen.

I got in touch with EB Games and had them delete my account. I always worry a bit when a company closes up and what happens to their database of customers, I'd prefer not to have my info sold or given away.

Is EB Games coming back in some form? This is what they have on their web page at the moment.

They are going to come back but ship from Australia only. No idea how that will work for us considering how much they used to charge for postage from a store 10 minutes away or would spread the shipment from multiple stores charging you full whack for each item.
