Hi.. Ive been a long time user of my SPA 3102 router, but new to VFX.
Im setting one up for my dad who has just signed up for Xnet naked DSL as well.

Here's where Im stuck:
-> Account is configured as Open VFX (so that I can use other gateways/dial plans)
-> Currently Im on Telecom, just thought that I'd configure the router before delivering it to my dad
-> using stun.wxnz.net
-> User ID = vfx number without leading zero
-> proxy = pan.wxnz.net
-> password = secret from VFX config email
-> Use Auth ID = yes
-> Auth ID = username from VFX config email

SPA 3102 registers fine. No problems that are Apparent. 200 OK.
SIP NOTIFY comes back with 404 Not found each time
SIP INVITE fails with 604 Does not exist anywhere.

Any ideas? It feels like Im missing 1 critical value.

Thanks.

P.S: Example trace for a NOTIFY that fails (replaced my username and IP with dummy values below):

Thanks. I've sent through a friend request so I can pm the user details.

I've played around with a few settings this morning. But haven't touched it since your reply.

Found your details, just clear out your user details and paste them back in again possibly you have a small error there, also for the user name you can have the 0 ie 04xxxx24

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Awesome.. I can now make calls.

Receiving calls still doesnt quite work.
I think I may have a stale registration somewhere in the system.

All works now!

Great. Do you mind if I post my working config up here. Would have been handy to have - although the SPA3102 is preferred to be in "managed" mode.

Thanks.

Yep that's why we like to control the config, saves a lot of time sorting issues out, feel free to post what you have but there will be more to it than just the basics so people shouldn't take it as a supported config by us

Mr Biddle also has done a very good config guide that also helps

+1

Most people don't realise Maverick is volunteering his time here, Geekzone isn't an official WxC support channel.
