Has anyone who is running an SRP527 noticed whether it updated the time last weekend for Daylight Savings?

Mine didn't, depsite the "Adjust Clock for Daylight Saving Changes " checkbox being ticked.

No it did not. Voice section time is also wrong. And if you have call notification e-mails enabled then they were wrong until this week (i.e. the opposite). Does it matter if you know it is 1h out?

Can you check your router time vs the Voice Section time please, Looks like it may be a bug between the two

Niel: Does it matter if you know it is 1h out?

Not really, it's pretty trivial in the overall scheme of things! I just had nothing better to do, so burned a couple of hours mucking around trying to work out why...

I also tried downgrading the firmware from 1.1.23 to 1.1.19 in case there was an error there. I assume that firmware version 1.1.24 is not yet approved for VFX as it hasn't been pushed out, so didn't try that one.

Currenly, all the times match:

Status / Router
Administration / Time Setup
Voice / Info : Current Time

are all behind by one hour. The adjust for DST box is ticked. NTP server is ntp.wxnz.net. Update frequency is 3600 seconds, which is showing up in the log (also an hour out).

Yeah Matt, looks to be an issue and have I logged it with my contacts in Cisco, we had tested all devices for DST but unfortunately we missed this and my apologies for this (my team are highly embarrassed that we did miss this) , I am making an assumption that it will correct itself this weekend and hopefully we will get it patched before the next change.

Yes the new release has some major issues around DNS proxing after the upgrade and we are not rolling it out, we have a fault logged with Cisco and wouldn't be surprised if they patch it very quickly or withdraw it .

On the weekend again I had a "friendly sales person" from Telstra Clear visit my house. One month it is he, the next it is Vodafone. He just could not get that there is more to consider than just price alone. He offered me a package cheaper and with 40GB data while I'm using only 4GB per month (don't think he understood the VoIP thing). These replies from Maverick is worth lots more than saving a few dollars, who else will push a large overseas company to fix their firmware? Thanks for all the great support. We all make mistakes, the difference is in fixing them.

Thanks for the update Maverick - as I said, it's a pretty minor matter in the overall scheme of things, but great to see your guys are on to it!

I'm picking it's probably Cisco using the DST dates for NZ prior to the change a couple of years back.

I only get Vodafone or Telecom. The <sarcasm> very  knowledgeable </sarcasm> Telcom rep was absolutely adament that I had to switch to them in order to see the benefits when the whisper cabinet was installed nearby - no other ISPs use them aparaently...

Brilliant - thanks Maverick.

You really shouldn't be working at 6am on a Saturday though!

Working at 6am on a Saturday? No, I'm sure he is somewhere in the sun far far away from here. Perhaps Canada where it was still Friday.

Well, we've passed the first Sunday in October (which was the old start date for DST), and the time is still behind by an hour - there goes my idea that Cisco were using the old New Zealand DST dates.

Looks like it is just ignoring DST alltogether.
