Hi,

I recently replaced the Telecom modem/router with a Draytyek Vigor 120 modem and Tp-Link router. All has been going fine for the last couple of days but today when we got home the Vigor had no lights flashing or even lit. I've tried powering it off and back on by unplugging, moving it to a different power socket, using the reset button, nothing seems to work. Is there anything else I can try or is it dead?

Cheers
Tony

Did you get a warranty?

Could you try a different power pack?

Yeah, put a multimeter over the power pack if you can. If you're in/around the middle of NZ then the quakes have been causing a few power spikes which might've killed either the AC brick or the Draytek.

There's not really anything you can do if nothing lights up other than send it back to the supplier though.

Worst case, I've got a spare 2nd hand Vigor120 that I can do you a good price on if it comes to that, PM me if you can't resurrect that one.

I wouldn't take it as a bad omen, they are brilliant little units.

Odds are the PSU has just carked it. If it's a new unit, just contact your retailer for a return - let them know it's PSU only (rarely ever takes out the unit).
