Interesting change in the latest factory firmware update for my new router;

1. Added Apple time machine feature in USB application. 

So, I can now plug a USB drive into the back of this thing and use it as a Time Machine backup, because one of the other additions is;

2. Both NTFS and HFS+ format HDD are supported.

Given that I almost bought an Airport Extreme instead, I'm now very pleased I didn't!

Now, they just need to add Airplay support via a USB soundcard ;)

This router is a beast of a thing. Huge range & throughput, very pleased considering I got it from Newegg for (significantly) less than the cost of the previous model in NZ.

Yeah the linux packages for apple protocols have advanced a lot, you will more devices providing time machine backup just like how most provide usb and windows (samba) file sharing.
