Hi.

I have just had UFB installed  and at the moment I'm using Spark HG630b Home Gateway. I would prefer to use my Netgear D6300 as it has a higher WiFi speed. Spark HG630b Home Gateway only goes upto Mode n where as the D6300 goes to newer mode of AC.

Spark suggest the following settings for third party gateways.

Operating Mode : MDI/MDIX

  • PPP Protocol : PPPoE
  • PPP Username: user@xtrabb.co.nz
  • PPP Password: telecom1
  • PPP Auth Type : blank (if you cannot leave blank, select PAP)
  • Encapsulation : 802.1Q
  • PCP Marking : 0
  • VID (or VLAN) : 10
  • MTU : 1,500 or AUTO
So my question is, does anyone have a D6300 connected to UFB and if so how do you set it up.

I await with baited breath

You will need to establish whether the device supports VLAN10 tagging on the WAN. If it does you'll simply need to follow the details which you have already posted above.
