What is the cheapest Modem- Router that has these features
- VDSL/UFB(?ADSL) Modem
- Gigabit LAN
- 600Mbps N wifi
- 1300Mbps AC wifi

The question is - will my laptop be able to connect at a theoritical top speed of 1900Mbps ? Or does such a router not exist.

thanks but it didn't help.

90% of threads that came up were 2 years old, the only that was within 1 yr old didn't have anything about gigaLAN/N600/AC1300 ...

You'll need a 3x3 MIMO capable antenna and WAN card to achieve AC1300, there are some PCI-E cards that have that capability, and I think new Mac's would too, but it's hard to find Windows laptops with 3x3 antennas.

The new intel chipsets support 2x2 config (most laptops have 2x2 built in) and that gives max AC867. AC1300 is not in the standard so Intel won't ever support it - same with N600 I think. You'll need to look at Broadcom.

why not just jump into all the major ISP forums on here along with the LAN and NZ Broadband ones, i recall seeing about 5-6 threads in the last 3-4 months asking exactly the same question as you are.

you dont always have to use the search button, sometimes just looking around will find you the answers you need

N and AC don't add together I don't think, you're either running N or AC, not both at the same time.

theoritical max. actual is anyone's guess, dependent on things in my house other posters may not have knowledge of

N and AC don't add together I don't think, you're either running N or AC, not both at the same time.
