Hi, I have a D-Link DSL-G604T router and I port forwarded the port that my uTorrent is using but uTorrent is giving me the red exclamation thing that says a firewall/router is limiting my network traffic.  It's added to windows firewall and I only have free AVG installed, I had it working fine on a different router so it's definitely the router I'm currently using that's the problem.  I unticked UPnP port mapping and it didn't make any difference, tried turning off the firewall on the router, no difference either.

Cheers,
Matt

I had the same problem a while back.

SOLUTION:

1. Get the latest firmware.
    It should be: V3.00B02.NZ.20060711
2. In utorrent make sure it doesnt choose a random port each time it starts
3. get your pc a static Ip address (see portfoward.com)
4. foward the port
5. save and reboot router (wired connection recommended)
6. open up utorrent and click on the status icon (red, yellow or green)
7. check if the port is fowarded correctly

that should solve it

Thanks pal, it was the firmware.  What a mission, hopefully that fixes the thing that used to happen before I switched routers and switched back again, it used to disconnect from the line and reconnect randomly sometimes connections would last a few hours, sometimes 30 seconds it was frustrating but it hasn't happened since I switched back so hopefully that's over.   Anyway thanks for your help!
