Can’t seem to get my IBM T-40 laptop paired with my Pocket PC.

Laptop: T-4o
Software: Windows XP, SP1
Bluetooth Software: My Bluetooth Places 1.4.3. Build 4 SP0, IBM Integrated Bluetooth II Software

Pocket PC: Compaq, Model 3970
Software: Microsoft Pocket PC Version 4.20.1081

You don't say but I think when you're trying to find the services from your Pocket PC it just freezes or get a Fatal Error?

There's a limit on number of services the h3970/h3870 with Pocket PC OS 2002 can recognise. If a computer or other device offer more than seven services your h3970 will have problems. You can disable some of the services on your laptop, by right-clicking the Bluetooth icon, select Advanced Configuration and then change to Services tab. Uncheck services you don't use - like Dial-up network, Fax, PIM Synchronisation, Audio Gateway and Headset.

You should update the h3970 to Windows Mobile 2003 to be more compatible with modern devices. For example some new mobile phones offer more than seven services and don't have any way of disabling then unnecessary one.
