Hello, just curious about whether any other Mikrotik RouterBoard users having issue trying to check for upgrade from the router itself (either via webfig or WinBox).

When doing System > Packages > Check For Updates, and clicking on "Check For Updates", the status bar is displaying "ERROR: Could not resolve dns name". This happened after I have made some configuration changes.

I am able to ping "upgrade.mikrotik.com" from Windows, but not from the router itself - using Terminal. However, if I use the Ping and Traceroute tools on WinBox, it seems like it can reach the server.

Just want to compare note to see if this is an issue isolated to myself, or generally all Mikrotik RouterBoard users.

Spyware: Just you.

Did you test it out from the router itself? Are you able to share how your Firewall settings like? I was able to check for upgrade yesterday... and today it doesn't work >.<

I did an upgrade to 6.37.3 and tested ping to upgrade.mikrotik.com, then upgraded to 6.38rc51. DNS servers are set to what (/ip dns print)??

Well I've managed to get the router to check for update after I have reset it again and reconfigured from scratch... weird but it's working with all the bells and whistles that I'm needing. Not going to touch it any further now! *lol*
