Hi fellow GZers.
Looking to upgrade to VDSL, have heard good things about the Draytek modems. However I haven't heard too much about the hardware internals of these two models.

I will be bridging the modem to a router.

Which of these two modems would be better and why?
They are both about the same price second hand on trade me. VDSL will potentially be 100Mbps download and in excess of 20Mbps upload where I live.

If you are just bridging then the 130 is all you will need.

I was running a vigor 130 , have now switched to the zyxel b10a getting 4mb higher sync, bridged to a mikrotik RB,

Another user tried a zyxel, but was apparently getting drop outs

I had the opposite experience, switched away from Zyxel gear after many years of use (I beta-tested the first Zyxel modems brought into the country) due to ongoing problems with the hardware. It was flaky/dying hardware, but didn't leave a good impression, and their track record of security vulns isn't so good either. In contrast the Draytek gear has been pretty good. Currently on a 2750, but for the OP if they're bridging then a 130 is fine.
