Hey guys,

Looking for someone to install cat5e cabling in a two story house.
Fibre is coming, so want the whole house setup.

Need to get a few quotes, based in Manukau.

I'd get cat6. It's not that much more expensive.

I agree I did cat 6a shielded but I probably wouldn't go shielded again as it is a pain in the ass to get around corners and the like because it is so damn thick.

I would suggest going for the for the Cat6 cabling.

Cat5e is designed for speeds of up to 1000 Mbps but Cat6 is suitable for up to 10 gigabit broadband and has enhanced features that reduce interference further. ^Mike

Have you looked at: https://www.masterelectricians.org.nz/find-electrician/ .

It's a good place to start getting quotes for domestic data and communications cabling work, plus they have the workmanship guarantee.

Most electricians will do ethernet cabling. I use Aaron Snook electrical in Pukekohe.

OCL are also good too.

I could do it, but not really interested in quotes and messing around so let me know if you can't find anyone.

Time to find a new industry!
