hi all

as i said in introductions i have some issues with my new router also called b-box.

operator: BELGACOM

router name: CIA6762N/BG philips

OS: Windows xp sp3

so i have opened (forwarded?) the ports needed to play online AoM (age of mythology)

at least i think i did...

anyway when i start the game everything goes pretty well, but when i host or join a game people say i have a red link wich i never had before. I don't lagg its just something wrong with my ports i say. So when i am ingame the game just laggs terrible or the other players won't show up.

so i have used this site : portforward.com

even i know that my router isen't displayed i use the ports that they give for the lastest router they have listed.

i have used the settings and put them into the vertual server tab from the NAT tab.

Is Windows Firewall running on your machine? If so, have you also enabled those ports on it?

wel i disabled my firewall but when i lok at security it says that the firewall is still on. I think This might ahve to do with Comodo firewall i recently installed and tehn again unistalled.

You're asking for trouble if you are running two. I'd suggest you disable Windows Firewall, uninstall the Comodo one and get AVG.

Also check if you have Norton Antivirus, in the past this program has caused me huge issues - if you also have it, uninstall it asap.

i don't think this is the problem because on my dad his laptop he has the same problem... But he din't had comodo. Anyway he did the same thign as i did and he has the same problem as me... I don't think this has got anything to do with the firewall

Put up the windows firewall/similar again and try running DMZ to your computer temporarily and try that. DMZ means that all traffic unless specified otherwise will be sent straight to your computer, which of course could be a security risk if used long term. That way you can figure out if its the router or computer at fault.

i don't think it has to do with DMZ either. cuz it should be working with or without firewall and atm it doesen't matter so its not this problem..

EDIT: tested and it worked on my dad his pc using his ip on the DMZ settings so i put in my ip on dmz will work also then. thx all :)
