I have connected the router straight up too the ONT and it connects but then when I restart the router never connects until I do a factory reset. The system logs are full of 'net: apply redirect rules error' and 'modem hangup' errors.

The Huawei that comes with the fibre works great so do I need to set it up in bridge mode and then connect my Asus up to the huawei?

Has anyone here got a RT AC86U running normally on Spark Fibre?

Check the IPTV tab, vlan 10 tagging needs turning on on 'internet'

Yeah I have The VLAN on 'Internet' set to 10 but still the issue persists. Could this be because the b6u may not be supported by Spark fibre? On the PBTech instruction page it dosent even list the 86u.

Do you have the 86u connected directly to the ONT?

the DSL version is bad, but that one works ok.

Key thing is to make sure the vlan tagging is in there, use PPPoE and have the latest version (if you have the one with vlan tagging should be ok though)

Device itself is a third party one to support is quite limited yes. But nothing is to stop you using it.

There a tons that use them, truth be told they are the cheap device that get flogged as a great option for wifi.

Oh. make sure you dont include anything in the servicename box.

Thankyou but I have followed these instructions directly and the issue still persists. The 86u isnt on pbtech configuration, could that mean that the 86u is not supported by Spark?

Ok thanks for that information, so it should be plugged straight into the ONT correct? Oh and im running Merlin 384.13 if thats of any help
