hi,
I used the sitecom cn-500 usb bt dongle with xp sp1 without any problems,
(just to transfer jpgs from my t610).
No luck now.

I'm now on xp sp2 and so downloaded the latest software from sitecom,
and followed their instructions:
http://www.sitecom.com/faq_showanswer.php?faqid=983

The widcomm 1.4.2.11 driver crashes out my firewall (sygate),
moans about a license file,
and then fails to find any bt devices.

I've googled about, but cannot find any mention of anyone getting this dongle working with xp sp2, so I'm looking for a nice link to a page with lots of cn-500 sp2 gotchas.

It serves me right - I should have just bought a serial cable :(

Any help gratefully received.

Richard

just a note to say sitecom provide a "burn" utility for this dongle on their site.
You need to download and run this or the updated widcom software for XP SP2 will not work as detailed.

FTP is working again now.
(the XTND connect software still does not work, but overall I think I've got off lightly).
