Hi everyone,

So I currently trying to figure out which device should I use as master and repeater in a mesh config.

I understand that the 7530 although being a much newer device, actually has less bandwidth compared to 7490.

They also use different chipset and have different flash and memory configs.

I do find the user interface of 7530 admin control to be more responsive than 7490.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

I ended up using the 7530 as master if anyone is interested.

I'm using that combination at my parents address and great performance. I find the 7530 gives pretty good wifi coverage even when inside a comms cabinet.

Yip, mine sits in the comms cabinet as well. I was a bit concerned about the reduced bandwidth, but since our plan is just 100/20, it doesn't really make a difference.
