Hi All

I'm after a good bluetooth adapter (USB type) that has 100m range and works well with Windows Mobile/Activesync. Any recommendations? Am I right in thinking that widcomm drivers are best? I've got one that uses the Blue Soleil software and its a bit naff. Its for my Okta Touch - no Wifi on the phone but I'm hoping with 100m BT I can still function around the house.

Most Bluetooth adapters are ok - even cheap ones. The softwaere - as you found out - makes a huge difference.

I wouldn't worry about a 100m adapter. Your Okta Touch is a 10m device only...

Thanks Mauricio - but how do I know which ones come with Widcomm software? Any personal favourites?

I bought a DSE-branded and it had Widcomm. Belkin is another brand I know with this software.

I've found the DSE based Class 1 BT devices, the ones with the small aerial to be quite effective.

I wouldn't bother with trademe for BT devices though - most that claim to be 100m devices aren't
