I'm not a net savy guy, what i have is two computors, the laptop and the tower, running through a Thompson TG585 v7.
I have installed a Netcomm NP3680 print server, which is working with my Epson CX5100 printer.
BUT the printer is showen in the control center as working through the tower computer, meaning that I need the tower ON to print from the laptop, as this is the only way I can get this to work.

1. do I need to set a Static IP

2. I can see the NP3680, on the network, but not the printer.

any help would be appreciated

Hi, not too sure exactly what the issue is but it sounds like your tower has shared out a network resource as if it is its own, if thats the case then you need to remove that share and treat the print server and thus printer as a network entity of its own. It helps if it has a static IP however if its getting an address from the router then thats fine for now.
