Hello All,

I am sorry if this topic has been covered previously, as I tried to search through Google and all the other newsgroup, I haven't been able to get a satisfactory answer which can resolve my problem.

I have a problem with my Bluetooth configuration. I have a WIDCOMM USB Bluetooth Dongle, running Windows XP SP1, Bluetooth Stake 1.3.x.x (Can't remember. 1.3.2.7 or 1.3.7.2). Windows has no problem recognising the dongle. I have everything running, able to Sync with my TT and browsing Internet via Virtual Serial Port + Mocha PPP from my TT.

Here comes the problem. I have a couple of PC at home.

PC 1 : Directly connected to a Cable Modem and is running Windows 2000, has a Class 1 Bluetooth Dongle.
PC 2 : Connected to a Hub, get its Internet Connection via ICS from PC 1.
PC 3 : Connected to a Hub, get its Internet Connection via ICS from PC 1 as well.
PC 4 : Connected to a Hub, get its Internet Connection via ICS from PC 1 and has a Class 1 Bluetooth Dongle.
My TT establish Bluetooth Connection with PC 4 without problem.

I would like to have a Bluetooth LAN connection (ICS) between PC 4 and PC 1. PC 1 and PC 4 is roughly 10m apart and can see each other under the Bluetooth discovery. I have a problem establishing LAN connection between the two. It says Bluetooth Network Cable Unplugged on the Systray on both PC 1 and PC 4.

I went through the configuration and set it to Allow other devices to access the Internet/LAN via this computer on both PC 1 and PC 4. I try configure Connection Sharing on PC 1, and also tried to bridge the Network card with Bluetooth Network Adapter. It just can't bridge. It says (An error has occured while bridging .... . ... ).

Can someone help me in configuring the Bluetooth LAN between my two computers?
What have I missed out?

Sorry, if I haven't been clear enough.

PC 1 has two network adapter.

Network Adapter 1 : Connected to Cable Modem, using DHCP setting, everything else Automatically configured (Supplied by my ISP).
Network Adapter 2: Connect to my Hub, has IP of 192.168.0.1
Bluetooth Network Adapter : DHCP setting (I tried 192.168.0.1, but still doesn't work)

PC 4 has one network adapter

Network Adapter 1 : Connected to the Hub, has IP of 192.168.0.11
Bluetooth Network Adapter : Connected to USB port, has DHCP setting as IP.

ICS will work for one destination only adapter and this adapter has to be 192.168.0.1.

As you found out, configuring the Bluetooth to allow access through ICS will conflict with your configuration.

You could try Windows XP and use bridging, or disable ICS on this computer and use Winrouter Lite.

I tried Winroute Lite and I must admit it is not the simpliest software to use (Blame my patience and knowledge), I have IP of 0.0.0.0 on my Bluetooth Network adapter. Is this normal?

Back track a little, I am still having problem of seeing each other under Network Access. It kept saying Network cable unplugged.

You should have something there - if you haven't entered an IP Address, deselect the box "Assigned by server" and enter an address that is not conflicting with your current network.

Also, make sure the Bluetooth configuration shows something like this

Once you have fixed the problem with IP Addreess the message "Network Unplugged" will show until you connect the other computer - the message is correct, simply stating the current condition of no other device connected.
