My PC has a Bluetooth USB dongle to com with my Sony Ericsson Z520i.

Have seen ads on tradeMe for BT headsets that will let you chat on Skype and just wondered if anyone had any experience of this? Do I need a SE earpiece or will any brand work? Any comments or warnings?
Thanks,

Pat

Any brand will work, but your Bluetooth USB dongle must support the Headset profile. Most newer devices (in the last year to two years) will do.

OK, my USB BT device is a D-Link DBT-122. How can I find out if it will work with generic BT devices?

Thanks,

Pat

Check the software version, and if it's 1.4 or newer then it should work with headsets.

I use Skype with a Nokia HS11W - its great. Range is good too - full quality at about 11 meters.

It was easy to set up... but it initially messed my normal PC audio settings.
