Hi I'm from Poland and I'm writing here because in polish website I can find nothing. I have got laptop (with bluetooth hp nx6110, xp he) and deskop with internet conection (dongle bluetooth x-micro) (xp proffesional) I would like to share this conection via bluetooth (laptop will be use deskop's connection) How I can do it? Nobody can't help me. When I tried to do it by myself, devices didn't see each other. Please help me. (simply words please, because I'm forgein and don't understand all:) )

Welcome to Geekzone... If your Bluetooth devices are using the Widcomm software (most are) then you can follow these steps to share the Internet connection from your desktop to laptop.

If you are using BlueSoleil the steps are similar, but different screens to follow.

If you are using the Microsoft Bluetooth software then it's not possible.

But those steps are for win 98 I have xp and I haven't got local area connection. What should I do?? Create?? (By the way I have widcomm software)

Those steps are for Windows XP.

Which local area connection don't you have, the Bluetooth or the one connected to the Internet?

The Bluetooth local area connection is created by the install process when you install the Widcomm software. The one connected to the Internet is the standard LAN adapter (or dial-up if not using a broadband/LAN connection).

Ok, I have bluetooth network and Neostrada TP (internet connection which will be sharing). So should I configure bluetooth network? But there I have others options, than in those steps. Do you think you could send me description with pictures from win xp. Please help me!!!

All you ned to configure is on that guide - anything else is not necessary or shouldn't be changed.

Because you share from the LAN connection to the Bluetooth connection, and that's how Windows ICS configuration works.

No need, the ICS will be established from the network adapter connected to the Internet/LAN to the virtual Bluetooth adapter.

Ok if I configure 'bluetooth network' (it's name of my lan network which is in network connection) by those steps, computer connects with itself (establish connection but I don't know with what) (0 bytes recived 0 bytes send) I don't know what's happend. It's have't got sense

Not really. The configuration is related to your internal network configuration and the external IP address has no bearings on this. You will have to look in our Bluetooth Guides for the article on how to troubleshoot ICS.

bUT you don't understand me. You configure local area conection but I haven't got this kind of connection. I have only "bluetooth network" (in LAN ) and " Neostrada Tp " (polish internet, dial-up). When I configure bluetooth network my computer show me, thath cable is plugged. I don't know what does it mean. Data don't send and don't receive. When I connect my laptop to deskop bluetooth icon is green on 2 devices, but they don't see each other. IP is ok on 2 machine. Do you know what's going on??

The dial-up is just another network connection - you can configure ICS from this connection to Bluetooth.

For what you tell I think you have not fully understood the concept of Internet Connection Sharing yet. Perhaps you should have a look on MSDN: Internet Connection Sharing overview before trying to share your connection.

I reinstalled my WIDComM software. I do all as that guide and computers can't connect each other (service: 'network acces') I give up. No polish computer scientist can't do it [I call a lots of them] Is it passible to doing???
