does any know what chanel Bluetooth and mobile phones operate on so i can see if my wi fi problems are caused by interference.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth both operate on 2.4GHz (ISM band), but because of the way they both share the spectrum it shouldn't cause an interference. Cordless phones on 2.4GHZ however are notorious for causing interference, as well as microwave oven (also on 2.4GHz) or living close to a hospital sometimes (the 2.4GHz ISM band is used by medical machines).

Actually even a lamp can cause some interference - I am joking, but you can get the idea...
