CryI've had problems trying to access Telstraclears modem with W/Less TP-Link WR1043ND Router running DRT. I'm currently using my old setup of D-Link Router with a Netgear Wireless Router as a A/P. Ive used the old setup for 2-3 years without any hiccups. Im wanting to use the W/less TP-Link Router of Telstraclear Motorola (Cable) modem. Ive accessed the Modem and it has learned the MAC Address of the TP-Link setup. However I still can't get access to the internet. Ive tried to reset new router to enable ARP on the modem to read it. Is there any way to force the Motorola to access it.

You don't need to do ANYTHING on your modem. Don't change anything in your modem.

Now that this is clear, make sure you configure the new router with the correct IP address, gateway and DNS (correct DNS addresses are 203.97.78.43, 203.97.78.44).

Once you do this shutdown the router AND the modem, for fifteen minutes.

In theory the TCL tables should allow for up to ten different routers (MAC addresses) to be configured with your IP address, but we never know.

After fifteen minutes turn everything on again.

are you sure you haven't cooked the router when you installed DD-WRT? It's very easy to do - especially if you are not sure what you are doing.

If it was me - I'd revert to the TP-Link stock firmware and get everything going.
Then later - if unhappy with the stock firmware then change to DD-WRT - but make sure you get the correct build for your router.
