Hi all,

I have a truenet probe (in essense a D-Link DIR-615) acting as a bridge connected to my D-Link 604T.
Wired connections going through the 615 work a treat.
Wireless however is another story.
No device, (Laptop, Phone, Wii, PS3) can aquire an IP Address off the 615 (Well the 615 supposedly acting as a bridge passing through to my 604T).
Obviously they can connect if going through the 604T wireless.
I have no access to the DIR-615 Front end or logs to see where it's falling down.
The devices trying to connect are a mixture of fixed IP on the 604T and DHCP of the 604T.
Wired connection is fixed IP.

Without being able to look at the 615's config and logs it makes it very hard to diagnose, but I will ask if anyone has come across this before.

Cheers
Terry

You may need to put the DIR-615 into AP mode to get wireless.

You will have to talk to truenet.
They run a locked down custom OS on the DIR-615, and only they (truenet) can get to its configuration. I'm pretty sure they can do it remotely.

I tried using the wireless once and had the same problem. No IP address being assigned to the client device. Wired device worked fine. I didn't really need to use the truenet probe as a wireless AP so I never put any effort in to contacting truenet about it.

Did you enable the wireless for the device on the TrueNet website?

Interesting.
Their CTO didn't indicate they had struck this before, but nice to know it has been struck before. (All be it they don't know about it)

Yeah, there were some hiccups where the truenet website didn't have Wireless for me to enable, but they got over that.
I'm definately connecting to the 615 via wireless, it's getting the IP address where the problem lies and hence the bridging the 615 is doing with my 604T.
Going through the DHCP logs on the 604T I can't see anything coming in baring my wired connection for a DHCP allocation.

I reckon they need to have the ability to enable some diagnostics logs if necessary.
Without seeing what the 615 is doing/trying to do it's hard to diagnose this.
