nakedmolerat: Get DGND4000?- click to see price

Can you get Telstra Cable in your area?

I have DGND3700, and it works well for ADSL and FIBER

Is there any lag with accessing or playing files from HDD when connected to the DGND4000?

I have DGND3700 (slightly slower)

No lag whatsoever that I am aware of. My TV stream the movies from my NAS using gigabit LAN. Streaming through wireless via netgear wnda3100 usb also did not seem to cause any issue.

Draytek Vigor 2710n - excellent router. Has 4 100Mbit ethernet ports with the VPN termination that you wanted, and a bunch of other features.

The high spec models have 4 gigabit ports.

Thanks for your help everyone. Decided on the DGND3700. Went to JB HI-FI yesterday and saw one at $326 then checked online just now and I can get the same thing for $229 from PB Tech. $100 difference - and this is just from retail stores!

Thanks again everyone!

Other than the 300M/450M difference what are the differences between the 3700 and 4000? There is a $100 price difference.

yes, there is a bad batch of DGND3700v1. DGND3700v2 fixed it.

DGND4000 obviously better.
