quick update, ordered a TP-LINK TL-PA411KIT (500Mbps kit) on friday and it arrived today

setup couldnt be any easier or faster, plug it in and press the button on the bottom, do this for both units and you're done

will setup a temp freenas server on a old laptop to see if it can stream hd. Will do another update once that is done

I set up one of these for a client who's apartment in the Viaduct posed some WiFi issues. It was all plug and play until her kid plugged a POTS line into it, simultaneously killing the device & their phone line. Thankfully D-Link replaced it & I got some billable hours on top :)

wow thank god i dont have kids

i can now tell you guys that this kit will stream 720p and 1080p mkv video files but pushed my luck trying to stream a full bluray ISO

streaming works well but file transfer is painfully slow, any reason for that?
