hio77: cant say i have a single IPv6 issue myself.

6.06 does seem to be another mixed results firmware unfortunately.

The IPv6 issue has been around a lot longer than 6.06

Its a Snap issue, they haven't finished rolling out IPv6 yet so people will still have issues with it.

i havent updated yet personally but disabling ipv6 does help quite a bit.

trying to assign a dyndns domain, usernamd and password does not keep, after hitting apply browse away and back the setting is empty. does not appear to reach dyndns.org as well

Can confirm the 6.06 update has issues with ipv6 and you tube disabling it fixes the pausing .
Also samba shares are now non existent, bugger.

i don't believe the ipv6 is the router issue, in my experience with it so far turning off ipv6 stabilized my connection at the least,

maybe we should suggest snap with these instead....
audiocodes mp-264, they seem to be getting good review around here...

the ipv6 issues seem to be a mixture of multiple things.

myself, im happily running ipv6 on my fritz, without an issue!

im yet to play with a mp-264, im partial to the fritz myself..

I've got an MP-264 ex World Exchange and couldn't get it configured. Might try again at some stage. And hio77, you need to add to that statement that you are managing to run IPv6 without issue only because you are running an old firmware that most people can't do. I dare say if you upgraded your firmware the IPv6 may very well raise its ugly head.

Funny how the fritzbox is often considered one of the best and worst pieces of tech at the same time, Probably due to how old it is, I'd expect they are gearing up towards something like the 7490 or 7570 by now.

Despite the the issues it still remains as it has always meen a very nice piece of tech with an amazing feature set that even now 3+ years down the track since its release is still unmatched.

Update for me has been smooth and have not had any DSL issues in relation to it.
Notes of which i think it has improved or declined:
cons: Doesnt show FEC errors, WiFi seems degraded (There is a thread in relation to this), No option to disable power saving totally.
pro: Spectrum graph looks better same with throughput graph. Shows more line details. WiFi guest network seems to function better with more controls. None of the reported DLM ruining line drops and bad sync's.

Also note i cant play any games or anything unless i manually turn on UPNP or manually forward the port. It never used to do that. I hate UPNP opening 200 ports.

Word of warning, there appears to be more settings in the VoIP pages for localised number and telephony settings in 6.06 than v 5.x+ which can lead to box crash or funkyness

While trying to diagnose a few quirks with call waiting, I noticed the outgoing number, although present in the telephone numbers list, was not appearing in any other dropdown box relating to it. Just multiple blank options.

I had removed the local 'telephone' device to re-create and all of a sudden it told me there was no number assigned in the router to associate it to 0.o

I could see a number present, I could go into edit. but I couldn't change any of the options nor associate with the snap server after a reboot.

Ultimately had to re-create the number profile and delete the old one before I could re-add/adjust any of the devices

Heap more individual line and device settings to choose from (and a New Zealand regional option)

However, still an EU ringing cadence, so long ring not ring-ring

As I have mentioned before, this is a Snap issue.

This is NOT a fritzbox issue. Snap has not finished rolling out IPv6 so it will NOT work for everyone.

If you are having IPv6 issues then it is highly likely that Snap has not finished rolling out IPv6 for your area.

Disable IPv6, if issues persist then contact Snap support.
