CB_24: Doing some further reading I see mention of "The Powerline Adapters need to be connected in the same electrical circuit".
What's the changes a standard house (that has had a lot of modifications done to it) whould have different electrical circuits?
This basically refers to having three phase power - its more common in very large older houses, or rural where the pump shed or pool might be on a different phase than the main house.
Its also common in the USA where 110v is used and so each circuit is capable of carrying less power.
It isnt typical in NZ and you can go between different fused circuits. Though the shorter the circuit and the less taps in the wiring of course means the connection will be better with less signal reflections down the wires.
We ask everyone if they have three phase power coming into their house and its something that you will know if you do. If you dont know then 99% chance it doesnt apply to you.
In general if everything is behind the same meter then your good.
And you can get inter-phase data couplers if you do have multiple phases.
