Nice rainbow too!

 

 

The rainbow was initially chosen for the cheerful factor, but after ordering I realised it'll be useful. I'm going to get matching coloured dots and place them next to each Ethernet port. So you can see at a glance which port terminates where. 

 

The sparkie did a pretty good job with this work for me, and even thought to number the ports underneath the faceplates (well most of them; he missed one, which was identified by process of elimination :-)).

 

 

Yeah that's a great idea! Makes any troubleshooting down the line a lot easier. I went with different coloured RJ-45 faceplate inserts per room and coloured patch cables (like yours) at the switch end. Makes things very easy!
