Try using O&O Shut up 10 to turn off all the telemetry garbage and check that onedrive isn't constantly trying to upload stuff

Parents-in-law back at home, connected via fibre. Reinstalled Crashplan but this time for all users (it installs as a service for one user it's a startup program) so that I can stop the service if needed.
Looking at the backup and at the files... They had about 10 GB of photos copied to the laptops in the last two weeks. No wonder this was going through the 3 GB mobile data packs like crazy...
