golfpunk111: So have made some progress, changed the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 and the other ip address suggestions above and now the Ethernet ports on the Huawei work and pass on the internet connection. I can also access both setting pages on each device by entering the relevant ip address now.

Wi-Fi is broadcasting from it but it asks me to reenter my password saying some settings have changed since last time and then won't connect saying cannot connect to network. When I try connect my phone it just say authentication error and asks to re enter my password. Password is correct, am on a different channel, Asus is 20/40mhz and Huawei is auto which i assume is the same thing both on 2.4ghz and have the same SSID.

Not sure what's wrong now...

Haha heck my memory hasn't failed me for the second time in 2 days!

Make sure the SSID's are different, Reset the devices wireless network history then retry. Most likely conflict of network names and passwords etc from multiple attempts.

Changing the SSID and PW fixed it! Many thanks for everyone's help and suggestions, much appreciated!
