We get this a lot with apple devices (an ipad and an iphone). We have lowish speed vdsl (possibly 20mbs down). Pretty sure I've turned almost all the icloud backups off (maybe still backing up contacts).

I've found people complaining about it on overseas forums too.

Is there a simple way to make a Spark modem prioritise ethernet traffic that is using internet (over wifi)?

Anyone know if switching to fibre would be enough for the hungry apple devices to let other devices have a bit of internet capacity?

Yeah almost just the same here. Ive un-sync'ed his icloud still when he boots that ipad up and joins the LAN is just turns to dial up speed. Last night we turned it off, he got his older Samsung tablet out and went back to watching you-tube, the LAN speeds returned back to normal. There something srsly amiss here. I swear. . (literally) =(

My iPad maxes out around 110 Mbps so you should be good to go on a 200/200 or faster fibre plan.
