Hi, the VPI and VCI are ADSL related, not VDSL, so will not matter

Thanks Cyril.

I was confused as to why I had inserted those values and your answer prompted me to remember that we were still on an ADSL connection for a day or two after our new Whisper cabinet was installed a few years ago.

Leave everything alone on the DV130, reset to default and do the above

In Bridge mode, modem just syncs, all settings are ignored incl MTU this is set by Router

Thanks for the assistance everyone - it's been a big help.

The v130 and MikroTik are running in a stable condition.

The Mikrotik was the easier of the two to configure, but that's probably because I'm more familiar with it and the UFB services.

Some misc. points:

  • The Mikrotik configuration for Spark VDSL is pretty much just the  same as the UFB config for Spark, so you can copy that from any generic guide.
  • I found a document that provides a very basic definition of Draytek's terms service and customer, here.
  • The LLC based encapsulation worked, while the IPoE didn't, despite it being documented in a Chorus Bridged VDSL configuration guide
  • The SnapperNet configuration script located here, matches the settings outlined by contributors above. Note I didn't use the firmware update included.

Because of ADSL fallback when you selected ADSL/VDSL instead of VDSL only.

- NET: FTTH & VDSL, OPNsense, 10G backbone, GWN APs
- SRV: 12 RU HA server cluster, 0.1 PB storage on premise
- IoT:   thread, zigbee, tasmota, BidCoS, LoRa, WX suite, IR
- 3D:    two 3D printers, 3D scanner, CNC router, laser cutter
