Ok im back,

Price wise, it has to be worth me going to the postage shop, so say $50 including postage but for every order ill add an extra switch in case the one i send you sucks balls. So if you order 1 you will get 2, if you order 2 you will get 3 and 3 you will get 4 and so on. If they all suck ill send you free ones. Each additional switch can be another $30.

Does this sound reasonable? please comment, if so ill put up a link to fill out a form rather than pm or email. So ill wait for feedback then ill put up a link.

In summary:

  1. Every order has an additional switch in case one is broken... (if you are happy with just one and don't want extra let me, it will be the same price though)
  2. Some switches might have a broken or disabled port (if so its probably more so that the poe part of that port is disabled)
  3. All switches need to be reset using the default method (eg hold down reset for 20seconds)
  4. I have about 40 ish (so 20 orders at 2 each) Cisco SG200-08P, 8 ports, of them 4 POE
  5. They have all been pulled out of working sites due to the standard 5 year upgrade cycle so they should mostly work. They had a few POE devices on them each but nothing to high bandwidth wise and a few none poe devices
  6. Pricing includes delivery
  7. $50 for 1 (but ill give you two)
  8. $80 for 2 (but ill give you three)
  9. $110 for 3 (but ill give your four)

Please dont grab these to onsale, im just trying to help people learn some coding or just get a decent poe switch in their house.

I also have a couple of bigger switches:

  1. A brand new cisco SG300-28P. This was our hotswap spare, never used, presumably working just fine (can do money back). Give me offers
  2. 2x Cisco SG300-10P , these are also 5 years old. Give me offers
  3. I will also have 3x the 48port versions of these switches soon too

Thoughts?

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. I'll take one (well, two) at the offered price.

I see a flaw in your #7 and #9 numbered points. It's cheaper to get 2x #7's instead of one lot of #9 (both options you end up with four in total)

I think it's a very fair price, have sent you a PM as I am looking for the two SG300-10P if I can get them as they would be awesome for home plus a spare if one blows up.

True, I'm just trying to make it simple. Now that I think about it is a bit of a math problem right; the first option, X times, will always be the cheapest. Any other suggestions?

Other option i guess would be:

$20 Handling fee including postage

then $25 per switch after, no bonus +1 switch, buyers own risk (although as i said at worst you might have a port that POE doesnt work on)

That would mean:

  1. $45 1 switch
  2. $70 2 switches
  3. $95 3 switches

Its cheaper but more potentially more risk. I could mitigate the risk if you get a full dud i could swap it with you but there would be postage involved.

My view is they are cheap in comparison and thus a good deal so people shouldn't complain if there is a dud port or two.
They go for more on TradeMe and much more new so don't complain IMHO.

I'd be keen on one of the bigger POE ones if still available (10 or the 28 POE ports).

I think you're being more than fair whichever pricing method.

If it helps, I'm also happy for my shipping to be combined with others that are local and we can sort it out between us (I'm in Wellington).

Keen on some as well, also in Wellington and happy to combine postage with MDF or others.
