Any baby monitors in the house or possibly nearby?

Ive got a pretty solid unifi AP and until recently...I hadnt noticed the base and parent unit are causing me grief when on wifi (but only when im physically behind the parent unit and thats before the AP).

I thought I had made the mobiles go dedicated 5ghz when on wifi....obviously I need to play.

You haven't just updated the UAP's firmware by any chance? There are a few people reporting problems with it.

I was about to suggest this. Ensure your controller version is fully up-to-date (use the current stable candidate) and disable "Automatically Optimise Wireless" for now. I was getting 1Mbit (!) on my parents wireless. They've been complaining for quite a while but read about this last night after I couldn't figure out what the issue was.

I did update last night but this is an ongoing issue. No baby monitors, just a couple of cordless phones with bases.

The wired devices having glitchy issues is what's making me think it's not solely a wifi issue but not really sure what to try from here

Tried a pile of changes to fix this and no joy, unplugged and restarted everything at some point.

Last week we had a heat pump installed and the installer turned off the mains power. When I got home that evening the problem had fixed itself and the wifi is now working well.

Gut feeling is that it was an ISP level issue, seems weird that there was a problem with the modem wifi as well as the APs. But i'll probably never figure it out. Thanks for all the help team!
