Hi, is it multimode or single mode, if its multimode then normally a simple light test (use your phones torch) will be easily visible but you will need to carefully align the torch, if its single mode again should be able to see it with a torch, however you will need to more carefully align it. Recommend the viewer at the other end from the torch is in a darkend location to help see.

Singlemode. No luck seeing the light from either end, with red or bright white light :( The fibre must've died somewhere along.

Thinking to go for a wireless point to point link instead --- anyone have any second hand gear? ;) Also might have fibre transceivers and media converters to sell at this rate..!
