Because it's Ubiquiti and there have been 30 bug fixes since the device came off the manufacturing line a month a go 🤣

What does IDS/IPS Throughput 850 Mbps mean on product specifications?

Doesn't this unit support up to 1Gbps Fibre speeds?

I’ve been keeping my eye on the DM firmware. Latest official build is dated 27 March, 1.5.6. This build definitely supports the VLAN setting, but also contains the ‘not connected to internet’ bug, and others. 1.7.2 will probably work fine and is officially the version for the Pro.

Ubiquiti have strange version update numbering predilections.

That's basically why I asked - I'm with bigpipe and I did not have to configure VLAN for their connection.

Because it makes a mobile product that will work in some areas on some carriers instead of everywhere with all of them, and the resulting customer service nightmare that is selling people something that will not work where their phone will work fine.

I kind of was hoping for a more concrete answer. Are you saying that 28 is available everywhere and the others mentioned are not?

Due to the hardware limitations if you turn on the deep packet filter then the max throughput it can handle with that is 850Mbps. With it off it can handle full gigabit.

It doesn't have WiFi. You need additional wireless access points.
