Ragnor: I think the Thomson can be bridged but not from the GUI, I remember someone posting some instructions for telnet'ing into it and running the appropriate commands but I don't remember the specifics.

The other option is of course just to get a separate 5 port gigabit switch (~$60) and a separate 802.11N wireless AP like the one Cyril mentioned earlier or similar.

cyril7: Interesting, if it were me, I would do separates, with a go old DSE XH9949 on the modem/router front and a UBNT Rocket M2 with a couple of 5dBi whips on top for the Wireless end.

I have dealt with a couple of 320N,s and found their RF performance wanting.

Hi Cyril

Been looking at these UBNT Rocket M2's. Hard to acsertain what ports they have. Do they have both LAN and WAN ports? The data sheet states 2x LAN 10/100. No mention of a WAN port

I belief I have found the correct instructions to use PPTP over PPOA with my ST536 thompson so now I could use one of these?

I have a solution in place now, an ADSL router plus a Ubiquitis Networks Rocket M2 wireless AP. This solution is 100 times better than the flakey Linksys WAG160N I had (which is now back with Linksys with a full refund sitting in my account!).

I would like to publicly give Cyril a huge thanks for the tremendous help he has given me with both advice and setup help to get things to where they are. He is a great asset to the GZ community.

Good to know, ill be getting a set up similar after i buy a couple of things that are above this on the list
