What's kinda missing here is what you're actually trying to achieve, it's not explained.

The closest is "he reason I've done it this way is that I would like to use 2 routers and both of them have internet connection"...but this doesn't exaplin the need for two subnets. If you just want 8 ports on your lan then gateway of router should be the IP of the modem/router, job done.

yes, you are right, i can easily use second router as a switch to rich this goal. but i still want to keep two subnets for testing purpers. I need test my units can link through gateway to diffrent subnets, cause my customers network enviorment are all like this. Cheers,

If I read tour post right, it's actually all rubbing on the same subnet.. 255.255.255.0

Have you tried setting one to 255.255.255.0 and the other to 255.255.254.0

Dhcp on one is 192.168.1.2-254 and on the other 192.168.0.2-254?

Hopefully I've made myself clear..
