Is this not a real 3g router? http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?item=NETNCM0318

I wouldnt havent the first clue with installing an antenna so think I shall stay away from that, hehe

Hi Shelly, I have not used the exact Netcomm that you have purchased, but its near identical to others I have used, they simply work, mind you most have been with voda USB sticks rather than Telecom ones, should that make a diff.

You can get antenna couplers for USB 3G sticks, this lets you then put an external antenna on the USB stick, sounds like what you need.

"Connect to the Internet using your 3G USB modem" - so no it's not a "real" 3G router if you have to stick the 3G into it :)

A "real" 3G router, is one that has the 3G module built in. They are obviously quite a bit more expensive, but do a far better job.
