If you are using the router, the PC wireless network properties should be set to automatic as well, like the ethernet is.

poumi: I did steps 1-4 but step 5 is where it fell to pieces, cant access the router configuration. Is 198.162.2.1.1 what I should be typing into my web browser? That was what I found when I tried looking up the router which is a Micronet SP916NL Wireless Broadband Router.


Where did the extra digit come from? It could be either 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.1 but not both!




Time to find a new industry!

So what happened with Wireless set to automatic instead of manual IP configuration?

No change that I could tell, still no internet if I don't have wires plugged in.

Anyone know what the cheapest way to get this done by getting someone in would be? It will only take someone who knows what they are doing 10-15 minutes max!
