Are you in town or in a rural area? In town it should be in pipe but most runs over 60m out in rural areas will be direct buried so you may not find a pipe.

ild bet its buried then.. out in the waitakere ranges

theEd: If speed and stability rather than features is your aim, personally I'd suggest the Vigor120 rather than the Vigor2710e/ne.

They're total workhorses and absolutely perfect if you plan to have a separate switch and wireless AP (they only have a single LAN port).

The 2710e/ne are still good but don't usually sync quite as high as the 120s (different ADSL chip inside).

I have found the Vigor120's to not be so good on the long lines, so definitely go the 2710e/ne. They can also be used in PPPoA-PPPoE bridge mode if you choose to use a separate router.

thanks for that, i was concerned that that would be the case sounds like we will be getting the 2710 unless any better suggestions come up :) they are sounding like a pretty rock solid router though, only downside is that they dont do ipv6 but im not overly worried about that, its just icing really :L

I'm sure ipv6 should be fine if you get a decent wireless router that does it, then just turn the Draytek into a modem only using PPPoA-PPPoE pass through.

If you need some help checking your wiring etc, let me know and I can looking at coming out.
