3. Model Brand/Model: T585 V8

4. (Approximate) Age of Modem: 9 mths

I'm not tecjie enough on these things but funnily enough I was having issues so Telecom sent me a 582n, tried hooking it up no go, rang helpdesk setup, no go put through to tech, no go so sent back

Have to say very impressed with helpdesk and the way they handled things, hardware issue not their fault. Doing some reading on here it looks like my modem is rubbish now but with so many thoughts on what is good or actually required its a bridge too far far me at moment

2. Was Modem Supplied by ISP: Yes

3. Model Brand/Model: Huawei HG566a

4. (Approximate) Age of Modem: 18months

This little wireless all in one unit has been really good for me.  Running the VoIP ports with 2talk without issues.  Haven't encountered the strange DNS bug that others have - Vodafone are in the process of sending out new firmware ('OTA' even?) to rectify this.   Have not tried the 3G backup or sharing a printer/usb device via the router.

1. Your current ISP Name: Telecom NZ ADSL

2. Was Modem Supplied by ISP: No

3. Model Brand/Model: DSE XH9940

4. (Approximate) Age of Modem: 6yrs

This modem is identical to the TP-Link TD8840 and provides a sync rate of around 17Mb/s at 8dB of attenuation. Recently upgraded to no interleave (kids gaming), that immediately threw the speed down to 6Mb/s but low latency, 20min on the phone finally got through to a higher level tech who altered the profile such that I got back my 17Mb/s sync and had low latency.
