sbiddle: Just remember to mount the keystones the correct way (ie not upside down). I've come across way too many to count in my life installed upside down.

True; the pins are meant to be at the top to keep dust from settling on them.

Ah thanks guys, that picture helped. Good to know the clear bit comes with the white bit (stop me if the terms I'm using are too technical).

I'll fill all the holes so doesn't much matter what way up the plugs go, but interesting to know. It's all going into a cupboard so appearance is irrelevant. I could just terminate the cables and plug them into the router but I think having a wall plate's a good idea.

Yep, that's how they look. I got all PDL 600 series outlets in our house, with the optional stainless steel cover plates. They look good.

Until you clean them and find they are not actually stainless and the finish comes off.

The Electrical Direct shopping cart doesn't work. You can add one product type not too - when you add the second product it forgets the first. Tried in IE, Firefox and Chrome, in a single browser window not different tabs.

Oh well, off to a physical store I guess.

Click buy now on the product you want, use the update button to set the quantity, then search for the next item - didn't go through to checkout, but it was adding to a dummy shopping list each time I tried.

I don't even know how to turn cookies off. But doing it that way worked, thanks. If you use another browser tab, or copy and paste a URL in, it forgets who you are. You have to go through their awful and ineffective search to find the second product.

Really poorly designed website. Not even sure how you make a website that bad these days. Perhaps session IDs embedded in URL rather than using cookies.

Most of the electrical wholesalers aren't cheap (and hate anyone who's not in the trade), even with a delivery charge Electrical Direct might work out cheaper.

Ah ok thanks. I could have my electrician pick stuff up, but they'd charge even more, plus the time it takes to go get stuff.

I ended up ordering from KiwiSparks, total price for a face plate and two modules was $38 inc tax and delivery, compared with $48 at electrical direct. It will take 1-4 days for it to arrive instead of overnight, but that's fine.

Personally I now avoid my local electrical shop whenever I can. They (Stewarts) have an insane mark-up on for non-trade accounts. Twice (sometimes more) what you will pay at Electrical Direct or Kiwisparks. I understand a physical shop has extra operating costs, but I find this sort of a rip off insulting.
