It's a question I'm asking myself after deploying some Netgear switches this week. It's not a normal brand I use, but with the shortage of IT gear at present I needed 5 POE switches for a deployment and these were the best option.

 

Why? so that you get paid the big bucks and jet set around in seat A1 :p

it's when the product manager convinces the Product Development VP that this is the surefire way of getting into a new market (cloud), and locking in customers into their product line. Nevermind that it pisses other potential customers off that they won't touch the brand again for a long time, if ever.
