GregM: I talked to Ross last week and he had none left. I'm still having issues with my chromecasts, so if I can't sort soon, I may sell mine and go back to my unifi lrs
The PoE variant of the switch can power it, otherwise no it can't.
Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.
has anyone brought a ceiling mount for it?

Good morning, late to this - does the seller this have stock on these?
Interested at two units for two seperate community buildings.
Way too late for the Aruba AP's
He does have some Ruckus R500 and R600 hardware he's selling on Trademe. You'll need to flash the unleased firmware onto these for them to truly be useful.

Anyone here using the Aruba APs on a wall rather than ceiling. Two of the locations in our house would better suit wall mounts from a WAF perspective

michaelmurfy: @Ge0rge I’ve 3D printed a few mounts now and have my own mounted this way.
Print with tree supports and 15% infill: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4742209
Hey @michaelmurfy how far off the wall/ceiling do these mount the AP, and do the impact the network cable at all?

@openmedia Just looking at the 3D print about 38mm:

would a right angle RJ45 for in it to make it lower profile? or if you mounted it almost flush and had the cable connection go up into the roof. Thats what i would like.
jonathan18: These aren’t the prettiest of APs, and the bracket makes them stick out even more like a sore thumb when ceiling-mounted - certainly shows their commercial origins!
If I still had my old Grandstreams or had gone with Unifi products I’d be ok about locating them in the main living spaces of our house (hug the ceiling plus are attractive), but the depth of the unit plus bracket as well as the colour and general aesthetics means these Arubas would be damn ugly and dominating in a room, especially one with a lower ceiling height like the 2.4m in our kitchen/dining, which is where I’d like to put one. A 3D-printed bracket in white would be better than the black ones I’ve bought, but that still leaves half the unit coloured black.
First-world problems, I know...!
I have mounted all of my AP's in cupboards so they aren't seen, makes little difference to the number of walls the signal has to go through, except of course in the room they would have been in... but while my house can be covered by a single AP, there are now three AP's so walls aren't an issue.

You can buy white mounting points as well.

No too ugly, but, not as low profile / unobnoxious as the E400 etc
