Hi all,

I'm chasing after an NFC contactless reader for my laptop... something like the ACS ACR122U... and I'd rather not resort to importing.

Anyone got any recommendations about where to try?

I highly doubt you'll find anybody in NZ who stocks these.

There are plenty of sellers on eBay who have these, I know people ho have purchased a lot of them, from memory around NZ$60 or so incl shipping ex HK.

As simonm has just pointed out to me, the Snapper Feeder is libnfc compatible (uses a PN531 NFC chip like many others)... I'd prefer a a flat reader but it's $43.95 including shipping from their online store and I wouldn't have to wait for it to get here from overseas.

We have a few Skye Tec modules at work, but no ways can I get you any. We have to jump through hoops to get any out of the US, all the export declarations and stuff. We fit it in a case to make an IP65 rated reader for a lab in AU which test milk samples. The vials have high frequency RFID tags.

We have made a reader, but it integrates with another product of ours and not really suitable for standalone (PC) use.

But Skye Tec would be a good option if you can source it.
