So the new Lego EV3 Mindstorms robot is due for release later this year.

Any rumours or speculation about NZ release dates and pricing?  (My son’s printed Lego catalogue in the mail says September, is this firm?)

I’m travelling to the States late September/ early October, hoping they’ll be on the shelves there by then as I expect they’ll be significantly cheaper there if history is anything to go by.

Anyone else getting one??  Regardless of price??  Perhaps someone has one already, seem to be a few people around the globe who have got their hands on one somehow?

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

My almost-11 year old son is saving up for it, we got him the current one at the start of the year and the other day he went to a league meeting for the first time where he outperformed their top student. Will see what it costs, maybe could do a group buy from overseas and at least save on postage if not on price? I'd expect it to be at least $500.

Based on the US rrp of $350 (excl.tax) I suspect it might be around the $700 mark. Getting pretty pricey for what's essentially still just a toy though.

I wish I could get 14yo son into a pastime that creates some intellectual stimulation. All he's interested in is his bloody playstation and facebook.
